Thank You Shadow Magic
Just want to say thanks to my first horse Shadow Magic 35 year old arab-saddle bred 14.1 hands
I removed the boots for a few days to dry some feet in a stall two days latter she had laid down at Thanksgiving time... to make a long story short she was in minutes of being gone.. had got her back on her feet and thought of her discomfort and was close to putting her down lucky for her I could not get any response for help and days passes and shes returned to a good looking horse again so its not her time as of yet. I was thinking it was that bad leg but as days passed and her look in hrer eye I go toward the feeling of the bedding i provided for her must have been bad, and she had and case of colic. I have the p3 hoof easyboots off her for some time now and is doing great, just one of those very tough Horse's
with all the hugs and thank you's I gave Shadow goodbye's and hugs...... she sprung back and it's just not her time in fact she looks better than ever, so maybe , my neighbor Tony B. says maybe I have to roll this horse over once in a while

DAY 40 Hoof Capsule Boot
Day 40 I decided it was time to remove and change the bottom of the p3 Easy boot . The screws being removed and what i found was (in image) was the goober glue was very hard to remove the clog otherwise it's an ease of renewing the Steward Clog.
I decided to leave Shadow barefoot for 1 day to dry up the hooves a bit , but found out that Shadow looked liked she could not walk to the next step it looked and reminded me of myslef the feeling of coming out of a Cast that supported a broken arm or leg , without that support you almost fall down as well as Shadow.
So the boot is obvious of it's great support to a horse's weak limb or for that matter its tenderness to the sole of any horse.
So I placed back the renewed Boot ,This time no glue, only wear was to the bottom. so just new cloggers..... Shadow is back moving around and in comfort ore info on ordering 530-889-0635 Steve Elliott Easy Care mobile dealer 916 217 2379

Alternative to hoof moisture problems
Like most boots or anything enclosed on the sole of the hoof even the Original Stewerd Clog you'll come across a bit of moist hoof bottoms. I used vettec gs and hoof packing and it works well. for some reason i have'nt figured it out yet but the left foot of Shadow is more moist than the right, pretty much normal due to I leave this p3's on for 7-10 days. I come up with some local stuff called shaving or horse bedding and placed that in the boots to absorb some moisture.
I have a bit of a fiber board placed inside the boot , which I had several inserts I've made and use for other horse's , comfort pad, wedge pads plastic, wood, vettec , goober glue for extra padding and lift.
The bottom have no movement whatsoever for the past 30 days i was going the change the Steward bottom wood clogs but find I'm going to go a bit further, the wear is fantastic, there is noshift of the boots and I added goober glue( webtackusa) , just as a extra insurance, but may not be neccary The Easy Gloves which were slighty used one's to begin with , have not wear at all and no tear at the giators

Day 30 Shadow's Relief Boots
Day 30 Shadow is still maintaining great Spirt and is standing Square. Movement is pretty much the same comfortable..... best for an older horse if it was'nt for the bad leg she'd still be able to ride

Wear of the steward clog
Besides going Dutch, Shadows foot wear of the P to the 3rd Boot the wood wears very well seems may last for 6 weeks heck I can even laminate or screw in another bottom but just as easy to re-new the base . Reason I chose the glove boot is for its outstanding great custom fit, that comes in half sizes also
fits like a glove is a true statement!

p3 hoof capsule boot day 20
I wanted to leave the boot on as long as Ican but past experience with boots is all to do with the weather. since we had a huge down pour here last week and lots of rain I thought I'd better check on the hoofs for wetness. with the ease of the new p3 boot taken them off and on is a breeze except for my horse has that severe right limb that makes it hard for her to place weight on. with the L Extension to that legs it worked well ,tell I was able to pull the boot off and clean.
As exspected some smelly feet the boots seems to work much better with the medicated gc vettec. I had a good amount more in one boot then the other.. that foot was much more dryer after the 20 days of application
I dryed the hoof and installed a newer type of relief insole made out of thin fiber board, then placed in the boot hoof packing and shimmed up the left foot a bit due to a lower heel. cleaned the bootom and inspected the steward plywood bottom... all was in great shape, the wood is a great absorbant and a good shock absorber .
Re-intalled the boots with medicated hoof pack and sent Shadow comfortably back to her pasture. I dont know if that right limb will ever go straight again , due to her old age and nature all I can do is make her comfortable with this new Capsule boot and it has proven very well all hardware is still in tack no loosening to the boot-steward mounting. For you barefoot groupies out there there are a few mounting metel screws inside the boot to the steward shoe, I have no screws or nails in the hoofwall. I have no problem with the Original design application of the Steward shoe screwed on it has proven it self well, it may breath a bit more and absorb moisture more than the glove boot wood is basically down to earth and hey its NATURAL!
