Besides going Dutch, Shadows foot wear of the P to the 3rd Boot the wood wears very well seems may last for 6 weeks heck I can even laminate or screw in another bottom but just as easy to re-new the base . Reason I chose the glove boot is for its outstanding great custom fit, that comes in half sizes also
fits like a glove is a true statement!

p3 hoof capsule boot day 20
I wanted to leave the boot on as long as Ican but past experience with boots is all to do with the weather. since we had a huge down pour here last week and lots of rain I thought I'd better check on the hoofs for wetness. with the ease of the new p3 boot taken them off and on is a breeze except for my horse has that severe right limb that makes it hard for her to place weight on. with the L Extension to that legs it worked well ,tell I was able to pull the boot off and clean.
As exspected some smelly feet the boots seems to work much better with the medicated gc vettec. I had a good amount more in one boot then the other.. that foot was much more dryer after the 20 days of application
I dryed the hoof and installed a newer type of relief insole made out of thin fiber board, then placed in the boot hoof packing and shimmed up the left foot a bit due to a lower heel. cleaned the bootom and inspected the steward plywood bottom... all was in great shape, the wood is a great absorbant and a good shock absorber .
Re-intalled the boots with medicated hoof pack and sent Shadow comfortably back to her pasture. I dont know if that right limb will ever go straight again , due to her old age and nature all I can do is make her comfortable with this new Capsule boot and it has proven very well all hardware is still in tack no loosening to the boot-steward mounting. For you barefoot groupies out there there are a few mounting metel screws inside the boot to the steward shoe, I have no screws or nails in the hoofwall. I have no problem with the Original design application of the Steward shoe screwed on it has proven it self well, it may breath a bit more and absorb moisture more than the glove boot wood is basically down to earth and hey its NATURAL!

Question of Balance will Continue
As I started this blog it was intended toward proper hoof balance and all can post. So I plan to update and continue as soon as I get off my Rocking Horse with the excitment of the Steward Clog and the Results. It's time to get the horse Up !
Lateral Extension
When a horse needs extra support off the inside hoof, to make the horse feel less pressure and be able to stand more comfortable with beniefts of correction to a problem like in the example of my 35 year old young Arab-Saddlebred. This horse suffers from a bad popped knee ,from a previous injury after she was retired. I am not able to trim her feet so i have to place legs on a large block of wood, with this method i have her hoofs hung over the edge and trim the left foot. Since she can not place wieght on her right bad knee this works very well in trimming the hoofs. She has been placed in the Steward nomal clog on the left foot due to wieght bearing caused a bit of dropped soreness sole and right leg swollen a bit. The right foot is placed in a LATERAL Extension wooden Steward Clog basicall the same as the right foot with 30 degree in the rear and 45 degree breakover in the front with radical placement fro breakover and the use of the wooden clog on the p3 capsule boot with 1 1/2 inch extension with total roll.
The results were immediate Shadow Magic is walking all over the farm and is more alert and comfortable as she says on her face and eyes, shes even getting into mischeif like her younger days. This makes me so happy that i took the time to go beyond and there is hope for older horses, besides this horse is my first horse that took me to many Endurance completions and got better with age.
